Chukotka is protected, studied, and even less inhabited region, one of those places on our planet where the harshness and beauty merge together. Permafrost, wind, storm, and, however, the majestic nature, which is literally breathtaking, unique attractions and incomparable local color. Chukotka, as if specially created in order to test a person's strength, and one who is not afraid of not always gentle sun, scorching winds and snow storms, will be completely rewarded seeing here the scenery, which is no longer anywhere in the world.

Chukotka's climate: Arctic, mean annual temperature is -8.2°C average temperature in January is -24.4°C, July 12.1°C, annual precipitation is 340 mm, the snow cover lasts from late September to mid-may. Lake free of ice during the last decade of may to the first decade of June. In August the temperature is about 15°C. Nights are cool.

Trophy animals

Koryak snow sheep (Ovis nivicola koriakorum)

 Found in Chukotka, in the mountains of the Verkhoyansk mountain system.

Hunting season: August 1 - November 30.

East Siberian (giant) moose (Alces Alces)

The hunting season for moose:  01 September - 01 October.

The best time for hunting: 01 September - 01 October.

Brown bear (Ursus arctos linnaeus)

The hunting season: 15 August - 15 September.

Wild reindeer (Rangifer tarandus)

The hunting season: 01 August - 15 March.

Polar wolf (Canis lupus tundrarum)

The hunting season: 15 September - 28 February.

Wolverine (Gulo gulo)

The hunting season: 01 October - 29 February.

Hunting season: 01 August  - 01 November. Tour duration: 8 to 12 days. Number of hunters: 1 to 3.

Place to hunt:

All hunting expeditions are organized and conducted in the company's own hunting grounds with a total area of 1,203,800 hectares.

Hunting for sheep takes place in North-Eastern spurs of the Koryak highland, in 2 kilometers from the source of the river Khatyrka, a distance of 390 km from Anadyr.

Hunting for East Siberian moose and Kamchatka brown bear happens in the floodplain of the river and the vicinity of Vaegi in the Anadyr area, occurring in the Central part of the Koryak range of 425 km on southwest from the city of Anadyr, North to the river main village Vaegi.

Weather conditions in places hunting is unpredictable, the temperature ranges depending on time of year and height above sea level.  In August the daytime temperature ranges from 10 to 20°C and at night from 0 to 10°C. In late August and early September with a chance of rain or snow.

Method of hunting:

Hunting in Chukotka is carried out from the approach, accompanied by a professional hunter-Rangers. Trophy sheep inhabit the rocky mountainous areas, at altitudes from 1000 to 1100 meters above sea level. A shot at a trophy animal from a distance of 300-500 m, sometimes at an angle up or down. Recommend hunters to use a rifle with ammunition 338LM, 300Win Mag, 300WSM, 300RUM, 7 Rem Mag.

About region

Chukotka Autonomous Okrug is situated in the extreme North - East of Russia, is a part of the mainland, Chukotka Peninsula, and several Islands of Wrangel, Aion, Ratmanov. Included in the far Eastern Federal district. Chukotka is dominated by mountainous terrain, and only in the coastal part and in river valleys there are small areas occupied by lowlands, the largest of which is Anadyr.
Mountain landscape are presented in the Central part of the Anadyr plateau mid-altitude and highland Anui, Pekulneyskoe and South-Main ridges above which rise mountain peaks rising from 1000 m, and the Chukchi plateau in the East.

Monetary unit: Russian ruble. The ruble is the only legal tender on the territory of Russia, but US dollars and Euros are also accepted for payment.

Visa requirements: Citizens of some CIS countries in accordance with intergovernmental agreements on mutual visa-free trips of citizens, a visa is not required. Citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine (90 days) for entrance to Russia the visa is not required.
Citizens of the EU and the United States with tourist visas to stay in Russia.

The presence on the territory of the Chukotka Autonomous region suggests the presence of early and formalized Individual pass or Permission to conduct business or commercial activities. The documents processing time from 60 days.

Customs regulations: No additional documents allowed as the import and export of cash Russian and foreign currency, as well as traveler's checks and Bank drafts totaling up to $10 thousand. Import and export of cash, as well as road checks and Bank drafts in excess of these standards, is only possible when declaring the entire amount. The Declaration must be kept until departure from the country. Customs inspection can be long and detailed.

Relocating between hunting area are carried out by helicopter or motor boats.

Equipment:

Hunters must wear clothing and footwear suitable to weather conditions in the region, convenient for sea hunting. Need to bring backpack, sleeping bag and Mat for a temporary camp. It is advisable to carry sunglasses and sunscreen, as well as a minimum stock of medicines, including for acclimatization.

Arriving hunters are provided with all the necessary documents:

— visa support (if required)

— permission to import-export of hunting equipment

— permit for the export of trophies, including CITES and the veterinary certificate.

— permission to enter the border zone.

The application must be submitted at least  3 months before the hunt.

Advance payment of 50% of the cost of the hunt is paid.
In case of refusal of hunting, the amount paid hunting is not refundable.
When wounded trophy and the rejection of dobor wounded animal, the cost of hunting is counted in full.
In case of exhibiting of a trophy animal at a distance of a guaranteed shot
penalties or refusal of the client from the shot, hunting is considered valid without the return of the trophy's cost.
